JIM FIDLER

A combined UK/Australian background, Jim has over twenty years experience in both the commercial security and police environment. Jim most recently was the National Operations Manager for one of Australia's leading personal and event security companies. Renowned for his hands on approach and strong leadership qualities Jim's contribution made him an integral part of this organization.

Arriving from the UK in 1999, Jim has quickly become recognized in Australia as a leader in event security and asset management. Jim has accomplished this through a "can do" attitude and his continual development on a personal level in Crowd Management and Event Planning. He continues to manage many of Australia's largest events.

Jim previously served with the Metropolitan Police, London. His final posting was to 1 Area Territorial Support Group and with this his main emphasis was in Public Order, High Risk Security, Witness Protection, and Target Police Operations and as a secondment to specialist tasking and Operational Groups.

In 1994 his career took him into Commercial Security as Operations Manager for one of London's major venues. He was also involved in personal security for corporate entities as well as providing touring security for organizations/artists travelling through Europe. He also managed high value commercial sites.

Since arriving in Australia Jim has focused primarily on Event and Specialist Security Projects. He is also a trainer, who trains up and coming recruits into the industry. Along with his participation in the industry he has also undertaken further education. He is able to maintain the fine balance between theory and practice and can implement a solution that satisfies the client, public and the regulatory authorities as well. Jim is continually striving to educate all those involved in the industry on best practices.
